Willamette Valley
Oregon’s Willamette Valley, situated on the west side of the Cascade Mountains, is on the same latitude as France’s Burgundy region. Its mild, wet climate combined with coastal marine influences and volcanic soils provide the ideal conditions for cool climate grapes such as Pinot Noir. Over the years, Oregon’s Willamette Valley as developed the reputation as the New World equivalent to France’s legendary Burgundy region.
