Sonoma County

Sonoma County is a large AVA, which envelops a large number of vineyards, all enjoying varying growing conditions, from the wet and cool Sonoma coast to the hill-side vineyards on the 2,400-foot Sonoma Mountain range. Most notably, this AVA is recognized as one of the finest Pinot Noir growing regions in California due to its inherent cool climate, moist conditions, and marine influences. The daily wind that makes its way into the valley slows ripening, which prolongs hang time and promotes natural balance in the wines, ultimately providing ideal growing conditions for the finicky Pinot Noir.
